Looking for a driven Social Media Intern to support the Content & Marketing Teams at a lifestyle financial brand specializing in philanthropy and social impact. We are looking for a data-driven, creative, and motivated social media intern to join our growing marketing team. The ideal candidate is resourceful, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can problem-solve independently. You care deeply about ROI, and have a keen eye for social media trends and best practices with experience managing and growing social media channels. You're located in Los Angeles, CA (office in Culver City) or Boston, MA. 


This is a paid internship with the opportunity for advancement and for this to transform into a full-time position.

Role & Responsibilities:

 

• Work directly with the Head of Marketing & closely with members of the Content team
• Maintain and grow social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, & YouTube

• Run and manage various social media campaigns
• Write copy for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

• Report and monitor social media effectiveness & ROI

• Identify successful content and help guide content creation team
• Serve as a liaison between the community and the brand -- actively engaging and educating our member community with relevant content
• Attend on-site events with the purpose of gathering social content for distribution
• Assist with real-time interaction during events using Instagram stories & Facebook live
• Seek out and engage key social influencers in the business, culture, and tech space to partner with and push relevant content
• Assist in creating relevant member-related content and news to push across social
• Research and propose additional marketing tactics to deploy across social platforms


Skills & Qualifications:


• Relevant experience running and reporting on social media campaign effectiveness and ROI

• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

• Passion for photography, entrepreneurship, youth culture and media

• Willingness to learn new methods and strategies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with careful attention to detail

• A self-starter that enjoys trying new things and researching best practices/new trends to grow social communities

• Pursuing or holds a BA/BS in marketing, communications, digital or related studies

• Experience and enjoyment writing long-form content like blogs is a preferred

• A working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications is helpful
